This exotic Pinot Grigio offers fresh, clean fruity notes of pear, green apple and white peaches. The palate is fresh and citrussy with a crisp finish.

Place the bottle of Montalto Organic Pinot Grigio in the refrigerator for at least 2–3 hours prior to serving (optimal temperature 45–50°F / 7–10°C). If short on time, submerge the bottle in an ice bath for 20–30 minutes.

Put wine glasses in the refrigerator or freezer for 10–15 minutes so they are pleasantly cool but not frosted.

Wash the green apple, pear and peach. Core and thinly slice half a green apple (about 4 thin slices), half a pear into 4 thin slices, and half a white peach into 4 thin wedges. Reserve two thinner slices of each fruit for garnish if desired. Lightly zest 1/4 lemon (about 1/2 teaspoon) and set aside. Cut a small wedge (approx. 1/8 of a lime) if using.

Prepare fruit

Place one thin slice each of green apple, pear and peach into each chilled wine glass. Tuck the fruit along the inside wall of the glass so it will infuse subtly as the wine is poured.

Add fruit to glasses

If you prefer a very cold serving, add 1 ice cube to each glass. For a traditional chilled wine experience, skip ice in the glass and rely on the chilled bottle.

Open the chilled bottle and pour the Montalto Organic Pinot Grigio gently into each glass, filling to about one-third to one-half full (approx. 5–6 oz / 150–180 ml per glass) to allow the aromatics to concentrate.

Pour wine

Lightly squeeze the reserved 1/8 wedge of lime (or a few drops of the 1/4 lemon) over each glass to add a bright citrus lift. Sprinkle a small pinch of the lemon zest into each glass (about 1/8 teaspoon). Clap 4 fresh mint leaves between your hands to release their aroma and either drop them in or float them on top. Add a lemon peel twist to the rim of each glass as garnish.

Finish with citrus & aromatics

Swirl each glass gently to mix the citrus and fruit aromas with the wine, then bring the glass to your nose and inhale to appreciate the pear, green apple and white peach notes. Sip slowly to enjoy the crisp, citrussy palate and clean finish. Replenish fruit or ice as needed and keep the bottle chilled for the remainder of service.
