Ice Creams

Optional Tools & Serving

Method

Prep & Chill

1

Pre-chill glasses

Place 4 martini glasses or dessert coupes in the freezer for 10–15 minutes so the cocktail stays cold longer.

2

Remove ice cream from the freezer and let sit 3–5 minutes to soften slightly for easier scooping and blending.

Make the Trio Ice Cream Cocktails

3

Prepare chocolate-vanilla-strawberry portions

This recipe makes 4 cocktails. For each glass you will use 1/2 cup of one flavor (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry) so plan scoops accordingly: total 2 cups per flavor are provided.

4

Build and blend (single-serving method)

For each serving: add 1/2 cup of the chosen ice cream flavor to a cocktail shaker or blender. Add 1 tablespoon chocolate liqueur (or chocolate syrup for non-alcoholic), 1 tablespoon milk, and 1/2 tablespoon heavy cream (optional). Add 2–3 ice cubes to chill briefly. Shake vigorously in a cocktail shaker for 10–15 seconds (or pulse once or twice in a blender) until the mixture is smooth but still thick. Strain (if shaken) into a chilled glass.

5

Alternative: Batch blending

To prepare all 4 at once (one of each flavor plus one favorite): in a blender, combine 1/2 of each flavor (1 cup vanilla, 1 cup chocolate, 1 cup strawberry) with 3 tablespoons chocolate liqueur, 1 tablespoon strawberry schnapps, 1 cup milk and 2 tablespoons heavy cream. Blend on low pulses until smooth and thick. Pour roughly 1 cup of mixture into each chilled glass and top as directed. If you want distinct flavor glasses rather than a mix, blend batches per flavor as in single-serving method.

Sauces & Garnish

6

Drizzle 1 tablespoon chocolate sauce on the inside rim of each chilled glass before pouring the cocktail for a decorative swirl. For the strawberry and vanilla glasses, drizzle strawberry sauce and caramel/vanilla sauce respectively (about 1 tablespoon each).

7

Top each poured cocktail with a generous spoonful (about 2–3 tablespoons) of whipped cream.

8

Garnish: place a halved fresh strawberry on the rim (or float on the whipped cream) for the strawberry glass, sprinkle chocolate shavings or sprinkles over the chocolate glass, and drizzle a little extra caramel over the vanilla glass. Finish each with a maraschino cherry.

9

Serve immediately with a long spoon or straw.

Notes & Tips

10

Non-alcoholic variation: omit the vodka and liqueurs and substitute syrups (chocolate syrup and strawberry syrup) to maintain flavor. Adjust milk to reach desired thickness — use less for thicker, more for thinner.

11

To make extra-rich adult versions, increase liqueur to 1.5 tablespoons per serving and use full-fat ice cream with extra heavy cream.

12

If you prefer layered appearance (three flavors in one glass), slightly soften each flavor, then spoon carefully in layers, returning glass to the freezer for a few minutes between layers to set, and top with sauces and garnish.
