Fruit & Berry Bowl

Method

Fruit & Berry Bowl

  1. 1

    Prepare and combine fruit

Rinse all berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries) and gently pat them dry. Hull and quarter the strawberries. Peel and dice the pineapple, peel and slice the kiwi, and peel and slice the banana. Place all prepared fruit into a large mixing bowl.

  2. 2

    Make dressing

In a small bowl or measuring cup, whisk together the honey (or maple syrup), fresh lime juice, chopped mint, orange zest (if using), and a pinch of sea salt until smooth and combined.

  3. 3

    Dress the fruit

Pour the dressing over the mixed fruit in the large bowl. Gently toss the fruit with two large spoons or spatulas until all pieces are lightly coated. Taste and adjust: add up to 1 more tablespoon of honey/maple if you prefer sweeter, or a little more lime juice for tang.

  4. 4

    Add finishing touches

Sprinkle the toasted sliced almonds and a light dusting of ground cinnamon over the fruit bowl if using. Gently fold once to distribute toppings without mashing the berries.

  5. 5

    Serve

Transfer the fruit and berry mixture into a serving bowl or divide among 4 small bowls. Serve immediately, or chill for up to 1 hour in the refrigerator to let flavors meld. For longer storage, keep dressing separate and add just before serving to avoid soggy fruit.
