Method
Base Electrolyte Mix
Dissolve sweetener and salt
In a 1-liter or 4-cup pitcher, combine 4 cups cold water, 3 tablespoons granulated sugar, and 1 teaspoon table salt. Stir vigorously until the sugar and salt are completely dissolved (about 30–60 seconds).
If using orange juice concentrate for a faint citrus depth, add 2 tablespoons now and stir to incorporate.
Flavor and Color
Add the blue sports drink powder or concentrate: measure 2 tablespoons of the blue-flavored powder or concentrate and whisk into the pitcher until fully incorporated and the liquid turns an even light blue. Taste and adjust: the goal is a balanced sweet/electrolyte flavor similar to a Glacier Freeze — increase powder by up to 1 tablespoon if you prefer stronger flavor or color.
Stir in 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice to brighten the flavor. Mix well and taste; adjust lime (±½ tablespoon) if you like a tangier finish.
Chill & Serve
Add ice cubes (about 2 cups) to the pitcher and stir to chill the drink rapidly. If you want a slushier, Glacier-like texture, place 1 to 2 cups of the prepared drink into a blender with 1 cup crushed ice and pulse briefly (5–8 pulses) until slushy, then return to the pitcher or pour directly into a glass.
