Method

Preparation of Rice

1

Cook the Basmati Rice

Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.

Stir-Frying Vegetables

2

Prepare the Vegetables

Chop the cauliflower, broccoli, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, carrot, celery, and red onion into bite-sized pieces.

3

Make the Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil to create the honey garlic sauce.

4

Stir-Fry the Vegetables

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a splash of sesame oil or cooking oil. Stir-fry the vegetables for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender but still crisp. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the vegetables and stir to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
