Chill glass
Place a rocks glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice and water while you prepare the spirit to chill the glass briefly. Discard the ice water before pouring.
Serve Nikka Coffey Vodka
Fill the chilled rocks glass with one large ice cube or 3–4 regular large cubes. Pour 2 oz Nikka Coffey Vodka over the ice. Allow the vodka to sit for 30–60 seconds to marry with the chilled glass and ice, then lightly swirl once to chill the spirit evenly.

Express citrus oil (optional)
If using a lemon or orange twist, cut a 1-inch strip of peel, avoiding the pith. Hold the twist over the glass with the exterior skin facing down and give it a sharp snap to release the oils onto the vodka. Run the peel around the glass rim and drop it into the drink or rest it on the edge.
