Condesa Cocktail
Method
Condesa Cocktail
Chill glass
Place a coupe or chilled cocktail glass in the freezer for a few minutes or fill with ice and cold water while you prepare the drink. This keeps the cocktail crisp.
Combine ingredients
In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker filled with ice, add 2 oz gin, 0.75 oz dry vermouth, 0.25 oz Green Chartreuse, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 0.25 oz simple syrup, and 2 dashes orange bitters. Make sure to use fresh lime juice for bright acidity.
Stir or shake
If you prefer a slightly silky, clear cocktail, stir the mixture for about 20–30 seconds until well chilled and properly diluted. If you want a slightly frothier, more aerated texture (and are using the simple syrup), shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds and then strain.
Strain and serve
Double-strain (if shaken) or fine-strain (if stirred) the cocktail into the chilled coupe or cocktail glass to remove small ice shards. This yields a smooth texture and clear presentation.
Garnish
Express a lime twist over the drink to release oils, rub it around the rim if desired, and drop it into the glass. Optionally, slap a small mint sprig between your palms to release aroma and rest it atop the cocktail for an herbal accent.
Serve
Serve immediately while cold. Recommend tasting and adjusting the next time: increase simple syrup by 0.25 oz if you prefer sweeter, or reduce lime by 0.25 oz if too tart.
