Method

Steak

1

Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps them cook evenly.

2

Season the Steak

Rub both sides of the steaks with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

3

Cook the Steak

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness.

4

Add Butter

In the last minute of cooking, add butter to the skillet and spoon the melted butter over the steaks.

5

Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Baked Potato

6

Prepare the Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Wash the potatoes thoroughly and poke several holes in them with a fork.

7

Bake the Potatoes

Rub the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Place them directly on the oven rack and bake for about 45-60 minutes, or until tender.

8

Serve the Potatoes

Remove the potatoes from the oven, cut them open, and add butter, sour cream, and chives.

Asparagus

9

Prepare the Asparagus

Wash the asparagus and trim off the tough ends.

10

Cook the Asparagus

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the asparagus, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes, or until tender.
