Cheesy Bread Instructions
Prepare the Dough
In a large bowl, dissolve the sugar and yeast in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy. Add olive oil, salt, and flour gradually, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Shape the Bread
Once risen, punch down the dough and roll it out to your desired shape (round or rectangular). Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Prepare Cheese Topping
In a bowl, mix the mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, and black pepper.
Top and Bake
Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the shaped dough. Optionally, sprinkle with fresh parsley. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Serve
Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm.
