Directions

1. Prepare the Tapioca Pearls

Cook the tapioca pearls according to package instructions. Typically, this involves boiling them in water for about 30 minutes until they are chewy. Drain and rinse with cold water, then set aside.

2. Brew the Tea

In a saucepan, bring 500 ml of water to a boil. Add the black tea leaves and let steep for about 5 minutes. Strain the tea leaves and set the brewed tea aside to cool.

3. Make the Brown Sugar Syrup

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 4 tablespoons of brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of water. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.

4. Combine Ingredients

In a large glass, add the cooked tapioca pearls. Pour the cooled black tea over the pearls, followed by the milk. Add the vanilla extract and mix gently.

5. Create the Tiger Stripe

Drizzle the brown sugar syrup along the inside of the glass before pouring in the tea mixture, creating a tiger stripe effect. Top with ice cubes.

6. Serve

Stir the drink gently before enjoying with a wide straw to sip the pearls!
