Peanut Pie

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Pie Crust

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place your pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan and set aside.

2

Make the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

3

Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chopped peanuts.

4

Bake the Pie

Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust and spread evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the filling is set and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

5

Cool and Serve

Remove the pie from the oven and allow it to cool completely before serving. For the best experience, serve with house-made vanilla ice cream and drizzle with Barq's root beer caramel.
