Preparation

1

Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.

2

Melt Chocolate and Butter

In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the bittersweet chocolate and unsalted butter together, stirring until smooth.

3

Mix Sugar and Eggs

Remove the saucepan from heat. Stir in the granulated sugar until well combined. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.

4

Add Flavorings

Stir in the Grand Marnier, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until fully incorporated.

5

Bake the Torte

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the torte has set but is still slightly soft in the center.

6

Cool

Allow the torte to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely.
