Soju & Serving

Method

Soju & Serving

  1. 1

    Chill the bottle

Place the Saero Soju bottle in the refrigerator for at least 2–3 hours beforehand. Saero Soju is best served cold; chilling brings out a clean, smooth flavor.

  2. 2

    Prepare glasses and ice

If you prefer your soju chilled but not diluted, put shot glasses or a highball glass in the freezer 15–20 minutes before serving. If you prefer it on the rocks, fill each serving glass with about 1/4 to 1/2 cup of ice cubes.

  3. 3

    Open and pour

Gently open the chilled Saero Soju bottle. Pour evenly into 3–4 small shot glasses (about 90–125 ml per glass) or into a single chilled highball glass as preferred. If you want a lower ABV or a lighter mouthfeel, add 60 ml cold water to the entire bottle first, then stir gently and pour.

  4. 4

    Optional garnish and serving suggestion

Serve with a lemon or yuzu wedge on the side for guests who wish to squeeze a bit into their glass. Present the soju with small side dishes (banchan) or grilled foods for a traditional pairing.

  5. 5

    Storage of leftover soju

If any soju remains, reseal the bottle and keep it in the refrigerator. Consume within several days for best flavor; if water was added, consume within 24–48 hours.
