Fill glass
Choose a highball glass (12–14 oz). Fill it about two-thirds full with crushed ice or ice cubes (≈1 cup).

Build the cocktail
In a cocktail shaker or mixing glass filled with a little ice, combine 2 oz citrus vodka, 0.5 oz blue curaçao, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.25 oz simple syrup. Shake briefly for 8–10 seconds to chill and slightly dilute, or stir gently if you prefer less dilution.

Strain over ice
Strain the chilled mixture into the prepared highball glass over the ice.

Top with soda
Pour 4 oz chilled lemon-lime soda over the drink slowly to preserve some effervescence. Give the drink one gentle stir (1–2 turns) with a bar spoon or swizzle stick to combine the soda with the spirit mix without flattening it.

Garnish the rim with a lime wheel or wedge and drop a maraschino cherry into the drink if desired. Add a cocktail umbrella or swizzle stick for a playful presentation. Serve immediately with a straw or small straw for sipping.
