Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

1

Peel the garlic cloves and finely chop them. You should have about 10 to 12 cloves.

2

In a small saucepan, add the chopped garlic and pour in the extra virgin olive oil.

3

Heat the saucepan over low heat. Allow the garlic to simmer gently in the oil for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Do not let the garlic brown, as it will become bitter.

4

Once the garlic is fragrant and soft, remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly.

Mixing

5

In a mixing bowl, combine the cooled garlic oil mixture with chopped parsley, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper.

6

Stir well until all ingredients are nicely incorporated.

Storing

7

Transfer the garlic dip to a pint-sized jar or container, ensuring it's sealed tightly.

8

Store in the refrigerator for up to one week. The flavors will meld and improve over time.
