Classic Margarita

Citrus Tequila Smash (for BOGO pairing)

Method

Classic Margarita

1

Prepare glass

Run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or coupe glass. Dip the rim into coarse salt to coat. Set glass aside.

2

Add tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker. Fill shaker with ice (about 1 cup).

3

Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker feels very cold and slightly frosty.

4

Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice (if desired). Double-strain the cocktail into the glass using a hawthorne and fine strainer to remove ice shards and any pulp.

5

Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim. Serve immediately. Yields one Margarita (adjust recipe for BOGO by making two cocktails).

Spicy Paloma

6

Prepare glass and jalapeño

Run a lime wedge around the rim of a highball glass and dip into pink or coarse salt. Place two thin jalapeño slices in the bottom of a shaker (remove seeds for less heat). Muddle gently 5–7 times to release aroma and a touch of heat.

7

Add reposado tequila, fresh grapefruit juice, fresh lime juice, and agave syrup into the shaker with the muddled jalapeño. Fill with ice (about 1 cup).

8

Shake for 8–10 seconds to chill and slightly dilute the mixture.

9

Fill the prepared highball glass with fresh ice. Strain the shaken mixture into the glass over ice, then top with 3 oz club soda and gently stir once to integrate.

10

Garnish with a grapefruit wedge and an extra jalapeño slice on top (if desired). Serve immediately. Makes one Spicy Paloma.

Citrus Tequila Smash (for BOGO pairing)

11

Muddle mint and juices

In a shaker or mixing glass, add 6 fresh mint leaves, lemon juice, orange juice, and simple syrup. Gently muddle 6–8 times—just enough to bruise the mint and release oils without shredding the leaves.

12

Add tequila and a handful of cracked ice (about 1 cup) to the shaker. Shake vigorously for 8–10 seconds until chilled.

13

Strain into a rocks glass filled with cracked ice. Top with 1 oz club soda if you prefer a lighter, fizzy drink and stir gently once.

14

Garnish with a mint sprig and a thin citrus wheel (optional). Serve immediately. Makes one Citrus Tequila Smash.
