Bar Tools & Extras

Method

Classic Margarita (Buy One)

1

prepare rim

Run a lime wedge around the rim of a rocks or coupe glass. Pour coarse salt onto a small plate and dip the rim to coat. Set glass aside.

2

build & shake

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz blanco tequila, 1 oz fresh lime juice, 0.75 oz orange liqueur, 0.5 oz simple syrup, and a generous scoop of ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well chilled and slightly frosty on the outside.

3

strain & garnish

Double-strain (or use a single fine strainer if available) the cocktail into the prepared glass over fresh ice if desired. Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim. Serve immediately.

4

build in shaker

Add 2 oz tequila, 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, 0.25 oz simple syrup (or agave) and a pinch of salt to the cocktail shaker. Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup).

5

brief shake

Shake gently for 6–8 seconds — enough to chill and lightly dilute but not to froth the grapefruit juice.

6

serve & top

Strain into a highball or rocks glass filled with fresh ice. Top with 2 oz club soda or grapefruit soda and stir once with a bar spoon to combine. Garnish with a grapefruit wedge or twist and serve immediately.

Cleanup & Service Notes

7

Rinse the shaker and strainers promptly. Keep limes and grapefruit chilled for quick service. For a BOGO promotion, prepare a second drink immediately after the first to deliver them together while both are cold.
