Method
Fish Preparation
Prepare the Fish
In a large bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Dredge each fish fillet in the mixture until fully coated.
Heat the Oil
In a large frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F or 175°C).
Fry the Fish
Carefully add the coated fish fillets to the hot oil, cooking for about 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Taco Assembly
Warm the Tortillas
In a separate pan, lightly warm the corn tortillas on both sides until pliable.
Prepare the Spicy Aioli
In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, and lime juice until well combined.
Assemble the Tacos
On each tortilla, layer a few pieces of crispy fish, a spoonful of black beans, a handful of shredded cabbage, chopped tomatoes, and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese. Drizzle with spicy aioli and garnish with chopped cilantro if desired.
