Method

Fries

1

Prepare the Fries

Preheat your oven according to the package instructions for the frozen French fries. Spread the fries out on a baking sheet and drizzle with vegetable oil. Toss to coat evenly.

2

Bake the Fries

Bake the fries in the preheated oven for the time indicated on the package, usually around 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden and crispy.

Chili

3

Cook the Meat

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef or turkey. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.

4

Add Ingredients

Once the meat is cooked, drain any excess fat. Add the kidney beans, diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and water. Stir to combine.

5

Simmer the Chili

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

Assembly

6

Assemble the Chili Fries

Once the fries are done baking, remove them from the oven and place them on a serving platter. Spoon the chili over the fries, then sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, and dollops of sour cream.

7

Serve

Serve immediately while hot and enjoy your delicious chili fries!
