Method

Prepare the glass

1

Rim the glass

Combine 0.5 tsp celery salt and 0.5 tsp coarse salt on a small plate. Rub lemon wedge around the rim of a highball glass, then dip the rim into the salt mixture to coat evenly. Set glass aside.

Mix the cocktail

2

Fill a cocktail shaker or mixing glass halfway with ice (about 1 cup).

3

Add 2 oz vodka to the shaker.

4

Pour in 6 oz tomato juice, 1 tsp prepared horseradish, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.25 tsp celery salt, 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper, and 2 dashes hot sauce.

5

Secure the shaker lid and roll or gently shake the mixture for 5–8 seconds to chill and combine without over-diluting. Alternatively, stir for 10–15 seconds if using a mixing glass.

Assemble & Garnish

6

Fill the prepared glass with fresh ice if desired. Strain the mixed Bloody Mary into the rimmed highball glass over ice.

7

Garnish with 1 celery stalk and 3 cocktail olives on a pick. Optionally tuck the lemon wedge on the rim or squeeze it into the drink before discarding.

8

Taste and adjust seasoning: add a pinch more celery salt, a dash more hot sauce, or additional Worcestershire to preference. Serve immediately.
