Cocktail

Method

Prep

1

Prepare glass

Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a chilled rocks or coupe glass. Pour the coarse salt onto a small plate and gently press the wet rim into the salt to coat. Set the glass aside.

2

Juice limes

Roll and firmly press limes on the counter to loosen juices, then cut and juice until you have 1 oz of fresh lime juice.

Mixing

3

Add the reposado tequila, triple sec (or Cointreau), fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and orange bitters to a cocktail shaker.

4

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup) until roughly 2/3 full. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the shaker is very cold and frosty.

5

Strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer (or double strain) into the prepared salt-rimmed glass over fresh ice if using a rocks glass. If serving up in a coupe, strain without ice.

Garnish & Serve

6

Express an orange twist over the drink to release oils (optional) and drop it into the glass. Float or place the lime wheel on the rim or in the drink as garnish.

7

Serve immediately. Estimated to yield one balanced Flyer Margarita with bright citrus, gentle agave sweetness, and a hint of orange bitters complexity.
