Preparation

Prepare Glass

1. Chill the Glass (optional)

If you prefer an extra-cold pour, place the pilsner or pint glass in the freezer for 10–15 minutes or fill it with ice and cold water for 2–3 minutes. Drain ice and water completely before proceeding.

2. Salt Rim (optional)

If using a salt rim, run the lemon wedge around the outer lip of the glass, then dip the rim lightly into the salt so a thin, even line adheres. Wipe away any excess salt inside the glass with a clean napkin.

Pouring the Beer

3. Hold the chilled glass at a 45-degree angle and start pouring the Grain Belt Premium (or similar lager) gently down the side of the glass. Pour until about two-thirds full.

4. When the glass is two-thirds full, slowly tilt the glass upright and continue pouring down the center to build a 1/2–1 inch (1–2 cm) head of foam. Aim for a moderate head to release aromas while preventing overflow.

5. Allow the beer to settle for 10–20 seconds. If excess foam forms, wait for it to subside before serving.

Garnish and Serve

6. If desired, run the lemon wedge briefly around the inside rim of the glass or drop the wedge onto the rim as a garnish. Note: a lemon is optional and changes the flavor profile; Grain Belt Premium is typically served clean without garnish.

7. Serve immediately while cold. Recommend pairing with classic pub fare such as burgers, fries, or pretzels.
