Preparation

1. Prepare the Chickpeas

Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water. Set aside.

2. Blend Ingredients

In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, cumin, and salt. Blend until smooth.

3. Adjust Consistency

If the hummus is too thick, add water a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.

4. Add Roasted Red Peppers

Add roasted red peppers (about 1/2 cup) to the food processor and blend until well incorporated and smooth.

5. Serve

Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with additional olive oil, and garnish with paprika if desired.
