Method

Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a martini or coupe glass in the freezer for at least 5 minutes, or fill with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure the glass is well chilled.

2

Measure and combine

Add 2 oz Grey Goose La Poire vodka, 0.75 oz St. Germain, 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.25 oz fresh orange juice, and 0.25 oz agave nectar into a cocktail shaker.

3

Add ice and shake

Fill the shaker with about 6 ice cubes. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and the mixture is well chilled and slightly diluted.

4

Prepare glass

If you used ice water to chill the glass, dump it out and quickly dry the rim so no water dilutes the cocktail.

5

Double strain and serve

Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled martini/coupe glass using a Hawthorne strainer and a fine mesh strainer. This removes ice shards and any pulp from fresh juices for a clean presentation.

Garnish & Finish

6

Garnish

Float a thin pear slice or a small pear fan on the surface of the cocktail. If desired, add a lemon twist expressed over the drink for aroma or drop a cocktail cherry into the glass.

7

Serve

Serve immediately while cold. Recommend pairing with light appetizers or fruit-forward hors d'oeuvres.
