Cocktail
Brew and cool espresso
Brew a fresh shot of espresso (about 1 oz). Let it rest 30–60 seconds so it's hot but not scalding; the small cooling prevents excessive dilution and preserves crema for shaking.
Combine ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, add the Stoli Vanilla Vodka (2 oz), Licor de Café (1 oz), the hot-but-slightly-cooled espresso (1 oz), and simple syrup (0.25 oz).
Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with 6 ice cubes. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds. Vigorous shaking chills the drink and creates a foamy crema from the espresso.
Double strain and serve
Strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer into the chilled coupe or martini glass to catch small ice shards and produce a smooth surface with crema.
Garnish
Carefully float 3 coffee beans on top of the crema as a classic garnish.
Serve
Serve immediately while cold. Enjoy.
