Method
Prepare glass
Rim the glass (optional)
Run the lime wedge around the outer rim of a rocks or coupe glass. Spread the salt on a small plate and gently press the rim into the salt to coat. Set the glass aside.
Make the Marcos Mexican Margarita
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice (about 1 cup).
Add 2 oz Javier’s Reserva Blanco Tequila, 1 oz Cointreau, and 1 oz fresh lime juice to the shaker. If you prefer a slightly sweeter, smoother drink, add 0.25 oz agave syrup.
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds — until the outside of the shaker is very cold and well-chilled.
Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass. For a traditional presentation use a rocks glass over fresh ice; for a more elegant serving strain into a chilled coupe without ice.
Garnish with the reserved lime wedge on the rim or floated on the drink. Serve immediately.
