Javier’s Reserva Tequila (Neat / On Ice Sphere)

Optional glass finishing

Method

Javier’s Reserva Tequila (Neat / On Ice Sphere)

1

Chill glass (optional)

Place the serving glass in the freezer for 10–15 minutes or fill it with ice water for 2–3 minutes to gently chill. Dump the ice water before serving.

2

If serving on a large ice sphere, prepare or remove a clear ice sphere (1 piece) and place it in the chilled glass. A single large sphere melts slowly and keeps dilution minimal.

3

Measure 2 oz Javier’s Reserva Añejo Tequila with a jigger and pour it gently over the ice sphere or directly into the chilled glass if serving neat.

4

If serving neat, allow the tequila to rest in the glass for 30–60 seconds so the aromas open slightly before presenting.

5

Hand the glass to the guest with the bottle visible, or present with the bottle nearby so they can appreciate the label and provenance.

Optional glass finishing

6

If using a smoked-salt rim, dampen a small portion of the glass lip with a citrus peel (rub the cut edge lightly around the rim) or a tiny water drop, then dip the rim into 0.25 tsp smoked sea salt spread on a plate so only a whisper of salt adheres.

7

Express an orange twist over the glass by holding the twist skin-side down above the tequila and give it a quick squeeze to release oils, then run the twist around the rim and drop it into the drink or rest it on the glass edge.

8

Serve immediately. Recommend to the guest that they sip slowly to enjoy the layered flavors; if served with an ice sphere, expect minimal dilution over 15–20 minutes.
