Method
Prepare Glass
Rim glass
Use a lime wedge to wet the rim of a rocks glass. Pour tajín onto a small plate and gently press and rotate the wet rim into the tajín to create an even, thin rim. Set glass aside.
Mix Cocktail
Add Javier’s Reserva Cristalino Añejo Tequila (2 oz), Cointreau (1 oz), fresh lime juice (0.75 oz), and simple syrup (0.25 oz, optional) into a mixing tin.
Fill the mixing tin with ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well chilled and slightly diluted.
Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared rocks glass over a single large ice sphere or large clear cube.
Finish & Garnish
Express the oils of a lime wheel over the drink by gently pinching it skin-side down above the glass, then drop the wheel on the rim or float it atop the ice sphere.
Optional: sprinkle a light dusting (a very small pinch) of extra tajín on top of the ice sphere for aroma and a hint of spice.
Serve immediately with a short stirrer or reamer so the guest can swirl the sphere to chill further as needed.
