Cocktail
Chill glass
Place a martini or coupe glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you build the cocktail to ensure the drink stays bright and cold.
Measure and combine
Add 2 oz Uncle Val's botanical gin, 0.5 oz Chambord, 0.5 oz Lillet Blanc, and 0.5 oz fresh lime juice to a cocktail shaker. If you prefer a slightly sweeter, rounder profile, add 0.25 oz simple syrup.
Add ice and shake
Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds, until the shaker feels very cold. This both chills and dilutes the cocktail to the correct balance.
Double strain and serve
Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled martini or coupe glass using a Hawthorne and a fine mesh strainer to catch any small ice shards and pulp from the lime juice. The resulting color should be a delicate blush hue from the Chambord.
Garnish
Garnish with a fresh lime wheel or a thin lime twist laid on the rim or floated on the surface. For an elevated presentation, drop 1–2 frozen raspberries into the glass; they will slowly thaw without diluting the cocktail immediately.
Serve immediately while cold. Optionally present with a small napkin; enjoy.
