Cocktail

Method

Prep

1

Chill glass

Place a martini glass (or coupe) in the freezer for at least 5 minutes, or fill with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure it is cold.

2

If using fresh banana garnish, slice a thin banana round or half-moon and set aside. Keep remaining banana refrigerated if using immediately.

Assemble the Martini

3

Drizzle about 1 tablespoon of caramel sauce inside the chilled martini glass in a loose spiral or along one side. Set the glass aside to allow the drizzle to slightly set.

4

Fill a cocktail shaker with the measured ice (about 1 cup).

5

Add Absolut Vanilla vodka (2 oz), banana liqueur (1 oz), dark rum (1/2 oz), heavy cream (1 oz), and 1/2 oz caramel sauce to the shaker.

6

Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds. The goal is to chill thoroughly and slightly emulsify the cream with the spirits, producing a silky texture and some light froth.

7

Discard the ice (or water) from the chilled martini glass. Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared glass using a shaker strainer and, if desired, a fine mesh strainer to remove any tiny ice shards and ensure a smooth pour.

8

If desired, very gently float a few drops of extra dark rum over the top for aroma by pouring over the back of a spoon.

Garnish & Finish

9

Drizzle a small amount of extra caramel sauce over the surface of the cocktail in a decorative pattern.

10

Place the banana slice on the rim or float it on the surface as garnish.

11

Optionally, finish with a very light pinch of flaky sea salt on the caramel drizzle to enhance contrast — use sparingly.

12

Serve immediately while chilled.
