Fit Turkey Wrap

A mix of 4 hops along with flaked oats and red wheat make this IPA juicy and hazy.

In a large mash tun, combine the pale malt, flaked oats, and red wheat. Heat 5 gallons of water to 165°F (74°C) and pour over the grains. Stir well to ensure all grains are wet. Maintain the temperature at 150°F (65°C) for 60 minutes.

Mashing

After the mash is complete, sparge the grains with hot water (170°F or 77°C) until you collect about 6.5 gallons of wort in the brew kettle.

Sparging

Bring the wort to a boil. Once boiling, add the Citra hops and boil for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, add Mosaic and Simcoe hops and boil for another 15 minutes. Finally, add Amarillo hops and boil for another 5 minutes.

Boiling

Cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller until it reaches about 70°F (21°C). Transfer to a sanitized fermenter and pitch the yeast. Seal with an airlock.

Cooling & Fermentation

Allow the beer to ferment for about 2 weeks at room temperature. After fermentation is complete, keg or bottle the beer for conditioning.
