Serves 4
sautéed in garlic herb butter and teriyaki, served with toasted baguettes
Cut the beef sirloin steak into bite-sized pieces and season with salt and black pepper. Clean and slice the mushrooms.
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Increase the heat to medium-high and add the steak bites to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until browned on all sides.
Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the mushrooms are tender.
Pour the teriyaki sauce over the steak and mushrooms. Stir to combine and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
While the steak bites are simmering, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Slice the baguette and brush with olive oil. Toast in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until golden.
Remove the skillet from heat, stir in the remaining butter and chopped parsley. Serve the steak bites and mushrooms with the toasted baguette on the side.
