German Pilsner. A well balanced German Pilsner; ever since it was first brewed in the town of Radeberg in 1872.

Heat 25 liters of water to 65°C (149°F) and add the Pilsner malt. Allow to mash for 60 minutes.

Mashing

After mashing, separate the liquid wort from the grain using a lautering system or a fine mesh.

Lautering

Bring the wort to a boil. Add the Saaz hops and boil for 60 minutes. Add the Hallertau hops in the last 15 minutes of the boil.

Boiling

Cool the wort quickly to about 10°C (50°F) using a wort chiller.

Cooling

Transfer the cooled wort to a fermentation vessel and pitch the yeast. Ferment for 2-3 weeks at 10-12°C (50-54°F).

Fermentation

After fermentation, lager the beer at 0-2°C (32-36°F) for 4-6 weeks to enhance flavor and clarity.

Lagering

Once lagering is complete, package the beer in bottles or kegs, and carbonate to your preference.
