Fit Turkey Wrap

American IPA. Bold hops with a blast of grapefruit, hints of pine, and delicate floral notes. Balanced by a touch of sweet caramel malt.

In a large mash tun, heat 5 gallons of water to 165°F (74°C). Add the pale malt and caramel malt, stirring well. Maintain the temperature at around 150°F (65°C) for 60 minutes.

Mashing

After mashing, sparge the grains with hot water and collect the wort. Bring the wort to a boil, then add the Citra hops. Boil for 60 minutes, adding Cascade hops with 15 minutes remaining and Simcoe hops with 5 minutes remaining.

Boiling

Cool the wort quickly to 70°F (21°C) using a wort chiller. Transfer to a sanitized fermenter and pitch the American Ale yeast. Seal with an airlock and ferment for about 2 weeks.

Cooling and Fermentation

After fermentation is complete, prepare a priming solution by dissolving the priming sugar in a small amount of water. Add it to the beer, then bottle and cap. Let the bottles carbonate for another 2 weeks.

Bottling

Chill the bottles and serve. Enjoy the bold hops, grapefruit notes, and sweet caramel malt balance of your Elysian Space Dust IPA!
