Method
Fries
- 1
Preheat and prepare fries
Preheat oven according to frozen fries package (typically 425°F / 220°C). Line a large baking sheet with foil or parchment. Toss frozen fries with 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon kosher salt, and 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper so they are evenly coated.
- 2
Spread fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet with some space between pieces. Bake per package instructions until golden and crisp (usually 20–30 minutes), flipping once halfway through for even browning.
Chicken
- 3
Season and cook chicken
While fries bake, pat the chicken breast dry. Rub with 1 teaspoon olive oil and season with 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika, and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the breast 5–7 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Remove from pan and let rest 5 minutes, then dice into bite-sized pieces.
Bacon & Cheese

- 5
Assemble with cheese
When fries are crisp, remove the baking sheet from the oven. Evenly scatter the diced cooked chicken and chopped bacon over the hot fries. Sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella evenly over the top.
- 6
Return the loaded fries to the oven for 3–5 minutes, or until the cheese melts and becomes bubbly. For a browned top, broil 30–60 seconds while watching carefully.
Ranch Sauce & Toppings
- 7
Finish and serve
Remove the fries from the oven. Drizzle 1/2 cup prepared ranch dressing evenly over the cheesy loaded fries (or serve ranch on the side for dipping). Sprinkle the sliced green onions and chopped bacon pieces across the top. Finish with chopped parsley if using, a light grinding of 1/8 teaspoon black pepper, and an optional 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes for heat.
- 8
Cut into portions and serve hot. Leftovers can be reheated in a 375°F (190°C) oven for 8–10 minutes to revive crispness.
