Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

1

Form the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the Prime Angus ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently to combine, being careful not to overwork the meat. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 1 inch thick.

2

Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty, and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Prepare the Toppings

3

Prepare the Vegetables

Wash the lettuce leaves and pat them dry. Slice the tomato into thick slices and the red onion into thin slices. Set aside.

4

Toast the Buns

If desired, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

Prepare the Crispy Fries

5

Cut the Potatoes

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch wide.

6

Fry the Potatoes

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a large pot over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot (around 350°F/175°C), add the potato strips in small batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt while still hot.

Assemble the Burger

7

Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked Angus patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, a slice of red onion, pickles to taste, and finally ketchup and mustard to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.
