Puff Pastry and Mashed Champ Potatoes

Method

Final Assembly and Cooking

1

Prepare the Potatoes

Boil the cubed potatoes in salted water until tender, then drain. Mash with butter and milk until creamy. Season with salt and pepper.

2

Cook the Vegetables

In a pan, heat olive oil and sauté green beans, red bell pepper, and onion until tender. Season with salt and pepper.

3

Assemble the Pies

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Roll out the puff pastry and cut into circles. Fill each circle with the cooled steak and mushroom filling. Fold over and seal the edges. Cut slits on top for steam to escape.

4

Bake the Pies

Place the pies on a baking tray and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

5

Serve

Serve the steak and mushroom pies with mashed champ potatoes, sautéed vegetables, and a side of Guinness brown gravy.
