Method
Preparation
- 1
Chill the Glass
Begin by chilling your cocktail glass. You can do this by filling it with ice water and setting it aside while you prepare the drink.
- 2
Add Ingredients
In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, combine 1 oz of gin, 1 oz of Campari, and 1 oz of sweet vermouth.
- 3
Add Ice
Fill the mixing glass with ice cubes to the top. This will help chill and dilute the drink as you mix.
- 4
Stir the Mixture
Using a bar spoon or a long spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.
- 5
Strain into Glass
Empty the ice water from your chilled cocktail glass. Then, using a strainer, pour the mixture into the glass.
- 6
Garnish
Garnish your Negroni with an orange slice or a twist of orange peel on top for added aroma and flavor.
- 7
Serve
Enjoy your classic Negroni cocktail immediately while chilled.
