Infused Tequila

Margarita Mix

Method

Infusing the Tequila

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Slice the cucumber and jalapeño into thin rounds. Adjust the amount of jalapeño according to your desired spice level.

  2. 2

    Infuse the Tequila

In a clean, airtight container, combine the Astral tequila with the sliced cucumber and jalapeño. Seal the container and let it infuse in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours, or up to 3 days for a stronger flavor.

Mixing the Margarita

  1. 3

    Strain the Infused Tequila

After the infusion period, strain the tequila through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth to remove cucumber and jalapeño pieces.

  2. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 60 ml of the infused tequila, Italicus liqueur, fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and orange bitters. Fill the shaker with ice.

  3. 5

    Shake the Mixture

Shake well for about 15-20 seconds until the mixture is chilled.

  4. 6

    Prepare the Glass

Rim a margarita glass with chamoy sauce. You can do this by running a lime wedge around the rim and then dipping it into salt or Tajín for extra flavor.

  5. 7

    Strain and Serve

Strain the margarita mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice. Optionally, garnish with a cucumber slice or jalapeño ring.
