Measure and combine
In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, pour 1.5 oz gin, 0.5 oz dry vermouth, 0.5 oz Campari, 0.5 oz crème de violette, 0.25 oz fresh lemon juice, 0.25 oz simple syrup, and 2 dashes of orange bitters.
- 3
Add ice and stir
Add enough ice to the mixing glass (about 1 cup) and stir gently for 20–30 seconds until the mixture is well chilled and properly diluted (target ~20–25% dilution by volume). Stirring rather than shaking preserves clarity and silky texture.

Prepare glass
If you used ice water to chill the glass, empty it now and dry briefly. Strain chilled cocktail into the prepared coupe or martini glass using a Hawthorne or fine mesh strainer to catch ice shards.
