Beer Battered Fish
Prepare the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and white pepper. Gradually whisk in the Cahaba Blonde Ale until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
Heat the Oil
In a deep pot or fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (180°C).
Batter the Fish
Dredge the cod fillets in a bit of flour first, then dip them into the beer batter, allowing any excess to drip off.
Fry the Fish
Carefully place the battered fish into the hot oil and fry for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Make the Tartar Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, chopped dill pickles, capers, lemon juice, and fresh dill. Stir well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
