Method

Prime Rib Preparation

1

Season the Prime Rib

Rub the prime rib roast with olive oil, then season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes.

2

Roast the Prime Rib

Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Place the roast in a roasting pan and cook for 20 minutes. Reduce the temperature to 325°F (160°C) and continue to roast until the internal temperature reaches 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare, about 1.5 to 2 hours.

3

Rest the Roast

Remove the roast from the oven and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing.

Twice Baked Potatoes

4

Bake the Potatoes

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Prick the potatoes with a fork and bake for about 1 hour or until tender.

5

Prepare the Filling

Allow the potatoes to cool slightly, then cut them in half lengthwise. Scoop out the flesh into a bowl and mix with sour cream, cheese, butter, green onions, salt, and pepper.

6

Bake Again

Spoon the mixture back into the potato skins, top with additional cheese if desired, and bake for another 15-20 minutes until heated through.

Buttery Broccoli

7

Cook the Broccoli

Steam or boil the broccoli florets until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Drain and set aside.

8

Add Butter and Seasoning

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat, add garlic powder, and toss in the cooked broccoli. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Au Jus Preparation

9

Make the Au Jus

In a saucepan, combine beef stock, red wine, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Horseradish Sauce

10

Mix the Sauce

In a bowl, combine prepared horseradish, sour cream, lemon juice, and salt to taste. Mix until smooth.
