Preparation Instructions

1

Prepare the Wild Boar

Season the wild boar shoulder with salt and black pepper. Place it in a slow cooker and pour the beer over it. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender and easily shredded.

2

Make the Slaw

In a bowl, combine purple cabbage, shredded carrots, apple cider vinegar, and mayonnaise. Mix well and set aside to let the flavors meld.

3

Grill the Pineapple

Slice the pineapple into rings and grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side until caramelized. Remove from grill and chop into smaller pieces.

4

Make the BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan, mix brown sugar and BBQ sauce over medium heat until well combined. Remove from heat and set aside.

5

Prepare the Pickles

Slice the pickles into thick slices and optionally brine them in beer for a few hours to enhance flavor.

6

Assemble the Sliders

Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half. Layer shredded wild boar, purple cabbage slaw, grilled pineapple, and pickles on the bottom half of each roll. Drizzle with brown sugar BBQ sauce and top with the other half of the roll.
