All flavor, no pulp. Brewed using real oranges, this hop-forward IPA tastes like it came straight from the grove. It’s as refreshing and juicy as it is big and bold. Technically it’s a West Coast IPA, but we think it drinks more like a cold glass of fresh squeezed OJ.

In a large brew pot, heat 5 gallons of water to 160°F (71°C). Add the pale malt and caramel malt to create a mash. Maintain the temperature for 60 minutes.

Prepare the Wort

After an hour, remove the grains and bring the wort to a boil. Add the Citra hops and boil for 60 minutes. 15 minutes before the end of the boil, add the Simcoe hops and the orange zest.

Boil the Wort

Once the boil is complete, remove from heat and cool the wort down to about 70°F (21°C). Add the fresh orange juice to the wort.

Add Orange Juice

Transfer the wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel and pitch the yeast. Seal the vessel and let it ferment for 1-2 weeks at room temperature.

Fermentation

After fermentation is complete, dissolve the priming sugar in a small amount of water and add it to the beer before bottling. Bottle the beer and let it carbonate for another 1-2 weeks.
