Make Classic Margarita
Combine ingredients
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add 2 oz blanco tequila, 1 oz orange liqueur, 1 oz fresh lime juice and 0.5 oz simple syrup (omit if you prefer a tarter margarita).
Shake
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds, until the outside of the shaker is frosty and well-chilled.
Add Flavor (choose one or combine)
For a flavored margarita (mango, passion fruit, peach, or strawberry), add 1 oz of the chosen fruit puree or juice to the shaker along with the base ingredients in the 'Combine ingredients' step. If using a very sweet puree or liqueur, reduce or omit the 0.5 oz simple syrup to taste.
If using frozen fruit (e.g., strawberries or mango), you can blend 2–3 oz frozen fruit with 1 oz lime juice and a splash of orange liqueur until smooth to replace the puree; then proceed to shake with tequila and strain if desired for a smooth cocktail.
Taste and adjust: if the flavored margarita is too tart, add up to 0.25–0.5 oz more simple syrup; if too sweet, add a splash more lime juice.
Final Presentation
Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel on the rim. Serve immediately. If multiple flavors are offered, label or tell guests their chosen flavor; charge $1 extra per flavor addition.
