Base Margarita Mix (makes 4 servings)
Flavor Options (choose one) - Peach Blackberry (makes 4 servings)
Flavor Options (choose one) - Strawberry (makes 4 servings)
Garnish & Rimming
Method
Prepare Base Margarita Mix
- 1
Combine base liquids
In a large pitcher or mixing container, pour in 8 oz silver tequila, 4 oz triple sec, 6 oz fresh lime juice, 3 oz simple syrup, 4 oz premium moonshine, and 4 oz cold water. Stir vigorously until evenly combined.
- 2
Chill
Refrigerate the combined base mix for at least 20 minutes if not using immediately, or keep chilled on ice in a pitcher for service.
Make Peach Blackberry Flavor (for 4 servings)
- 3
Macerate fruit
Place 2 cups sliced peaches and 1 cup blackberries in a blender or food processor. Add 2 oz peach schnapps if using. Pulse until mostly smooth but with some texture (about 6–8 pulses). If the fruit is frozen, allow 5 minutes to thaw slightly.
- 4
Strain (optional)
If you prefer a smoother margarita, strain the blended fruit through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing with a spatula to extract juices and pulp. Reserve any pulp for garnish or another use.
- 5
Combine with base
Measure 12 oz of the prepared base margarita mix (this yields roughly one large serving or 3–4 standard cocktails depending on desired strength). Add the blended peach-blackberry puree to the base in a cocktail shaker or blender (use about 6–8 oz puree per 12 oz base for pronounced flavor). Add 1–2 cups ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds or blend briefly for a frozen style.
Make Strawberry Flavor (for 4 servings)
- 6
Prepare strawberries
Place 3 cups hulled strawberries in a blender with 2 oz strawberry liqueur or puree if using. Blend until smooth.
- 7
Strain (optional)
For a seed-free texture, strain the strawberry puree through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing with a spoon to extract liquid.
- 8
Combine with base
Measure 12 oz of the prepared base margarita mix. Add about 6–8 oz strawberry puree to the base in a cocktail shaker or blender. Add 1–2 cups ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds or blend for a frozen margarita.
Rim & Garnish
- 9
- 10
Strain and serve
If shaken, strain the cocktail into the prepared glass over fresh ice. If blended, pour directly into the glass. Garnish with a lime wedge and a slice of the corresponding fruit (peach and blackberry for peach-blackberry; strawberry for strawberry). Add a few whole berries or a thin peach slice inside the drink for presentation.
- 11
Adjust sweetness & strength
Taste one serving and adjust if needed: add 1–2 tsp simple syrup if too tart, or an extra splash (0.25–0.5 oz) of moonshine or tequila if you prefer stronger drinks. Stir gently to combine.
Batching & Storage
- 12
To batch for a party, multiply the base mix and fruit purees proportionally. Keep the base mix and fruit purees refrigerated separately and combine/shake per glass to preserve freshness. Prepared mixed margaritas are best consumed within 24 hours if refrigerated; fruit-forward mixes may separate—stir or shake before serving.
