Method
Cocktail
- 1
Build & shake
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add 1.5 oz gin, 0.75 oz bourbon, 0.5 oz pomegranate syrup, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice and 1 dash Angostura bitters (if using).
- 2
Shake
Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted.
- 3
Prepare glass
Fill a highball or Collins glass about two-thirds full with fresh ice.
- 4
Strain & top
Double-strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over the ice to remove small ice shards. Top with 3 oz Cock 'n Bull ginger beer, pouring gently to preserve effervescence. Stir once gently with a bar spoon to combine (1–2 turns).
Garnish
- 5
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Sprinkle 1 tsp fresh pomegranate arils over the top if using, and tuck a mint sprig alongside the glass for aroma.
Serving
- 6
Serve immediately while ginger beer is fizzy. Provide a straw if desired.
