Classic Margarita (Reverse Happy Hour Special)

Cucumber Basil Cooler (Non-alcoholic / Low-ABV Option)

Method

Classic Margarita (Reverse Happy Hour Special)

  1. 1

    Prepare the glass

Rub a lime wedge around the rim of a chilled rocks or coupe glass. Pour coarse kosher salt onto a small plate and press the rim lightly into the salt to create an even salted rim. Set glass aside.

  2. 2

    Mix the cocktail

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Add 2 oz reposado tequila, 1 oz orange liqueur, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.25 oz agave syrup if using. Secure the lid.

  3. 3

    Shake and strain

Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the shaker is very cold and slightly frosted. Double strain into the prepared glass over fresh ice if serving on the rocks, or without ice for a neat coupe presentation.

  4. 4

    Garnish and serve

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately during the reverse happy hour window (10:00pm–12:00am).

Espresso Martini (Reverse Happy Hour Special)

  1. 5

    Brew the espresso

Brew a fresh shot of espresso (about 1 oz). If you prefer a cold cocktail, allow the espresso to cool slightly for 1–2 minutes; hot espresso can be used but will melt ice faster.

  2. 6

    Combine ingredients

Add 1.5 oz vodka, 1 oz coffee liqueur, 1 oz espresso, and 0.25 oz simple syrup (if using) to a shaker filled with ice (about 1 cup).

  3. 7

    Shake hard

Shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds to create a rich, foamy crema on top of the cocktail. The vigorous shake while cold is key for foam.

  4. 8

    Double strain and garnish

Double strain into a chilled coupe or martini glass to remove ice shards. Float 3 coffee beans on top as garnish and serve immediately.

Cucumber Basil Cooler (Non-alcoholic / Low-ABV Option)

  1. 9

    Muddle cucumber and basil

In a shaker or sturdy mixing glass, add 4 cucumber slices and 6 basil leaves with 0.5 oz simple syrup and 0.75 oz fresh lime juice. Gently muddle 8–10 times to release cucumber juice and basil oils without tearing leaves excessively.

  2. 10

    Add ice and shake

Add about 1 cup of ice to the shaker, then shake briefly (6–8 seconds) to chill and slightly dilute the mixture.

  3. 11

    Strain and top

Fine strain into a highball or Collins glass filled with fresh ice. Top with 3 oz club soda and gently stir once to combine.

  4. 12

    Garnish and serve

Thread a cucumber ribbon or wheel on the rim and tuck a small basil sprig into the drink for aroma. Serve chilled as a refreshing late-night non-alcoholic option.
