Baking Instructions
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together until well blended.
- 3
Add Buttermilk
Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the buttermilk. Mix until a dough forms.
- 4
- 5
Shape the Loaf
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and shape it into a round loaf. Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 6
Score the Top
Using a sharp knife, score a cross or an ‘X’ on the top of the loaf. This helps the bread bake evenly.
- 7
Bake the Bread
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- 8
Cool and Serve
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
