Pinsa Pizza Ingredients

Method

Pinsa Pizza Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, semolina flour, warm water, active dry yeast, olive oil, and salt. Mix until a sticky dough forms.

  2. 2

    Knead the Dough

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat up.

  4. 4

    Shape the Pinsa

Once the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it onto a floured surface. Divide the dough into two equal portions. Shape each portion into an oval or rectangle about ½ inch thick.

  5. 5

    Add Toppings

Spread a generous layer of tomato sauce over each shaped dough. Evenly distribute the shredded burrata and grated Parmesan cheese on top.

  6. 6

    Bake the Pinsa

Carefully transfer the pizzas onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy.

  7. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove the pizzas from the oven, sprinkle with fresh basil leaves, and drizzle with a little olive oil if desired. Cut into slices and serve hot.
